How do I join SaveEasy Credit Union?

You can join us online or in any branch, or pop-up branch. To join online please visit: or alternatively, please contact us to arrange an in-branch appointment.

What identification do I need to join?

When you join online, we will attempt to run a digital ID check. If this is successful, we will contact you to let you know and no further ID will be required. If you fail the online ID check or you are joining in-branch we will need three forms of ID from you: 1. Proof of Identity; driving license, passport etc. 2. Proof of Address; a utility bill or similar dated within the last three months. 3. Proof of National Insurance; a benefit letter or your NI card.

How long does joining the Credit Union take?

Our online form is quick and easy and can be completed in minutes. If you join in-branch, our membership form is simple. Staff will be on hand to answer any questions you have when in-branch.

How much does membership cost?

Membership to SaveEasy Credit Union costs just £1 for a lifetime.


How do I save with the Credit Union?

We accept many payment methods; 1. Cash/cheque deposits in any branch, pop-up or collection point. 2. Card payment in-branch, over the phone or via Online Member Area. 3. Standing Order from your bank set up by you. 4. Pay an income direct to the Credit Union e.g. Child Benefit.

How much can I save?

The amount you save is up to you - the habit of saving works great even with a small amount saved each time. We're members of the Financial Services Compensation Scheme therefore, eligible deposits up to a total of £85,000 (correct as of August 2021) are covered by this scheme.

Are my savings safe?

Eligible deposits up to £85,000 are protected under the Financial Services Compensation Scheme (FSCS).

Do I earn interest on my savings?

We aim to pay an annual dividend. The dividend is the way in which the credit union shares its profits with its members and the amount you receive, if any, will vary depending on how much profit the credit union has made in the year.

How do I apply for a Loan?

You can apply for a loan direclty on our website here. Or alternatively, please call us and an application can be taken over the phone. You can also pick up a loan application from any of our branches or pop-ups. Please note you must be a member of the Credit Union before you can apply for a loan.

I would like to know if i'm able to apply for a Loan?

Please give your local branch a call and ask to speak to a Loan Officer who will provide further assitance.

Community Accounts

What is a Community Account?

Our Community Account allows local organisations and/or charity groups to have a membership with the Credit Union.

How does our group open a Community Account?

Please give us a call to arrange an appointment. To open a community account we will need every signatory to visit us with a full set of ID (unless any one is an existing member) along with proof of the community organisation.

Engage Card

What is the Engage Card?

The Engage card is a pre-paid visa debit card which allows you to load funds directly or via the Credit Union for spending locally or online.

I have a problem with my Engage Card, who do I speak to?

School Savers

How can my School join as a partner?

Please send us an email and we will reply with further information on how the scheme works.

Is there a cost to the School?

No! We help administer the scheme therefore there are no direct costs to the School.

Online Access

How do I register for online access?

To register you need to complete a short form here. Please note, we will verify the details you have entered and you will receive an email from us once you are able to log in. We may contact you to verify your request.

I've forgotten my PIN and/or Password?

If you have forgotten either your pin or password you can reset these, instantly online using the links at the bottom of the log in screen here. If you have forgotten both your pin and password, please complete a request here. In this instance, your registration will be removed. You will receive an email to confirm this has happened. You will then need to re-register here.
